The Hoya HMC ND filter NDX2 produces larger aperture openings or longer exposure times. These filters allow for long shutter speeds even with higher sensitivity films to display movement in image by blurring such as waterfalls and streams, fountains, clouds or moving cars. You can also achieve larger aperture openings for lower depth of field, which helps to distinguish a motif, e.g. a portrait, clearly from its background. In addition, they have as if the film sensitivity is reduced accordingly, so that even highly sensitive films (i.e. above ISO 400 27°) can be used in bright daylight.
